B’QUEST B’Quest, a Tripp 40 sailboat built in 1991 by Carroll Marine of Bristol, Rhode Island, is constructed under the IMS (International Measurement System) rule. A high-performance racing sailboat that is light, yet strong and stable, having a long waterline, clean hull, fin bulb keel, and maximum sail area. First raced on the Great Lakes in the early 1990s, she has been racing in San Diego since 1998 as “Trippz.” In 2001, Trippz was the San Diego PHRF High-Point Division Winner and Southwest Yacht Club’s 2001 Performance Boat of the Year. DONATIONIn March 2002, Brian and
Suzanne Hull of Coronado Cays, gifted Trippz to the Disabled Businesspersons
Association, "Challenged America"
program -- a free recreational rehabilitation sailing program for individuals
with physical disabilities. The donated Tripp 40 was renamed “B’Quest”
to reflect their bequest.
Principal Dimensions of B’Quest Funding B’Quest is
funded by tax-deductible donations from the general public and sponsorship.
Yearly cost of upkeep is estimated at $50,000…or approximately $137.00 per
